Story of a family on their way to Oklahoma for the historic run, in hopes
of building a homestead on the Cherokee Strip. On their journey, they
encounter a horse grazing alongside the road. The horse is alone and
appears underfed and abused. The family dog befriends the horse, and the
story goes on.
Cream-colored, cloth-covered boards and spine, with red and brown lettering
and artwork.
This book shows light shelf wear. The boards have a few very light smudges
and the top edges of the boards show light soiling. Otherwise, the book is
clean and the pages are smooth, with only slight dust soiling of the outer
page edges.
