9//19/63 - Delaware, O -- Favored Overtrick, Johnny Patterson in the sulky, knocked world records for pacers kicking as he sped across the finish line in 1:57 1/5 in winning the first heat of the famed pacing classic. The horse, owned by Mrs Leonard J Buck of Far Hills NJ made it straight heat wins with a 1:57 3/5 victory in the second dash.
