Small folder with birthday greeting inside is applied to the lower right part of this card. Fabric is applied to a heavily embossed applique that is attached at the upper left. A fur-like fabric is attached to the card and surrounds the applique. All this is applied to a cream-colored layer of fabric. The applique and the folder have gilt accent.

The decorative top layer of this card is attached to a standard Litho postcard back. Markings on the postcard back are, "Made in Germany" and "Series No 2249".

This postcard is not postally used. A handwritten message on back is dated 1909 and signed from Omaha, Nebraska.

The card has gently bumped corner tips and minor edge wear. The raised areas of the applique have a few small, very light scuffs.
