JACKSON SQUARE
This square was originally used as the "Place d'Armes" or parade grounds of the garrison of the City when it had five Forts, a Wall and Moat. Many notable events have taken place here.

The Jackson Statue sculptured by Clark Mills, the first equestrain figure made in the United States which had no center support for the Horse. It was Clark Mills' first attempt at the Art, as he had previously been a Blacksmith by trade.

Postcard size, but without the usual postal markings (see image). Artist signed, G F Castleden.
Slight corner tip wear.
