Meat Market or Butcher Shop Interior - circa 1910 - Beatrice, Nebraska (?)
Regular Price: $24.99

Detailed Description

Nice detail in this photo of an early 1900s butcher shop or meat market. It shows the usual equipment and four people. The three men are wearing stained aprons and shirts. The glass-front display case appears to hold cured meat products. The photo also shows a meat cooler and huge butcher block table along the right wall. Along the left wall is a wooden barrel and large fork. There is one woman in this photo -- in a small room with sliding window opening and an old-time telephone at her left.

The photo is in good condition with two tears on the right edge. It also has trace foxing (or perhaps just specks of shallow soiling) on the bottom half. It measures approximately 7 x 5 inches and is affixed to a gray mount that measures approximately 9 x 6 inches. The mount is sturdy but has edge wear and a small tack hole at the top edge.
