CDV photo (carte de visite) of a young man with mustache and bowtie. This unidentified photo was discovered in a box with other items from northeast Missouri and from around Muscatine, Iowa. The photographer was F D Simmons, West Liberty, Iowa.

This item measures approximately 2-1/2 x 3-7/8 inches. The backing card has been trimmed approximately 1/16-inch at the top and bottom. The gilt left and right edges have only slight wear; the gilt top and bottom edges are almost completely trimmed away.

The photo is clean and smooth, with barely visible scuffing. It also has a few very small specks of foxing near the top edge.
