The die-cut scrap is brightly colored and embossed, showing President Cleveland with a background of doves, roses, and a hand holding a U.S. flag. The card has scalloped and partially gilded edges; it measures approximately 3-7/8 x 2-1/8 inches. The visitor's name is printed on the card under the scrap.

Both the card and the scrap have only slight wear. Except that there is a very shallow vertical crease on the right half of the scrap. See images.
